Luis and I like throwing parties. Unfortunately, we don’t usually think about them too far in advance. At first we had decided that since our birthdays are so close to one another, we would just have one big party for both of us in the middle of April. At the last minute, I decided that I didn’t like this idea because it was going to be Luis’ 25th birthday and I wanted to do something special. So this past Monday (after finishing all of Spencer’s birthday celebrations last week), we decided to do an American Idol themed party, but we would call it Amerino Idol (in honor of our last name: Merino).

A lot of time/work went into decorating the “little theater”

The food was good

The talent was great

And it was awesome to have a lot of our family/friends there!
