Natalia and I are officially reunited. It’s been a long, rough, and difficult 8 months, but we have prevailed! I really feel like our lives have been on hold all this time, and we’re now able to finally continue where we left off 8 months ago.

Here is an interesting break-down of the last 8 months, in NUMBERS:

  • 35. The number of weeks we were apart.
  • 28. The number of weekends we spent together.
  • 7. The number of weekends we didn’t spend together.
  • 19. The number of planes boarded to just to spend time together (JTSTT) (NOT including planes we would’ve normally boarded to travel together)
  • 12,215. The number of miles driven JTSTT.
  • 4. The number of rental vehicles procured for inter-state travel JTSTT.
  • 10,336. The number of miles flown JTSTT.
  • 3,799. The number of dollars spent on airfare, gasoline, and car rentals JTSTT.

Natalia (via Gchat): Well, it’s a good thing we’re not going to be doing that anymore. Can you imagine all we could have spent that moneys on if we had just lived together all along?

Luis (via Gchat): I know! :-/

Natalia: Despite that, I don’t regret having spent it. It is what has allowed us to maintain our marriage

It was truly the best $4K we’ve ever spent. We’ve been tremendously blessed these past 8 months in having had the means to be able to travel… JTSTT.
