almost snowed in
February 28, 2013
We went up to Utah for 2 specific purposes. 1) To meet baby Jared. 2) To see one of my best friends get married. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t exactly what you would call “wonderful.” Under any other circumstance, I would have just canceled the trip. Although we could have planned to go see Jared another weekend, I just couldn’t miss my friend’s wedding. Plus it didn’t appear that the weather was going to be too bad. So we went.
Luckily, our drive up was snow-free and uneventful. I can’t exactly say the same thing about the next day. We dealt with snowy/icy roads (which makes me panic quite a bit).

After dealing with these conditions, I told Luis that there was no way we were driving home unless it stopped snowing and the sun came out to melt everything. He told me that we needed to get home on Sunday so that we could both make it to work on Monday morning. At which point I promptly put my foot down, told him there was no way we were going to go, and that was that.

Well, he must have said a good little prayer that night because we awoke to a clear, sunny day (and a very dirty car) and were able to make it home safe and sound.
