February 6th marked our 5th Valiversary. What is a Valiversary? It is our own little made-up holiday where we celebrate our 6-month mark to our anniversary and valentines day all in one.

This year, we went to McCormick & Schmick’s for our Valiversary dinner.

We had the shrimp kisses as our appetizer (they were stuffed with pepper jack cheese and wrapped in bacon). To be honest, the bacon overpowered the shrimp so it is probably not something I would get again.

Luis, being the more health-conscious eater, also had a walnut mixed greens salad (he opted for no blue cheese on it).

I ordered the Palm Beach Mahi Mahi, which consisted of mahi mahi (duh), crab potato hash (oh so delicious), and sweet corn bisque (which was uh-mazing with the fish).

Luis got the other dish I would have liked to get for myself. It was salmon stuffed with crab, shrimp and brie, with mashed potatoes and vegetables on the side.

And we ordered the quatro leches cake to share for dessert.

Lets just say that the 30 minute wait for a table was definitely worth it, but next time we’ll definitely have to remember to get a reservation.
