Natalia: Did I ever tell you about the first time that I had crepes like these?
Luis: In the Tokyo airport and you never saw them anywhere again until you found them in Henderson?
Natalia: Yep, that’s the story.
Luis: I hope these are as good as you’ve made them out to be.
Natalia: Oh they’re way better. How can you go wrong with a freshly made crepe wrapped waffle-cone style around delicious toppings? I’m getting strawberries, bananas, birthday cake ice cream and caramel in mine.
Luis: That looks good, but I think I’d rather have a waffle made to order… with strawberries, bananas…
Natalia: Copycat
Luis: … and Nutella and vanilla ice cream.
Natalia: So what did you think?.
Luis: It was good.
Natalia: No, it was GREAT!!!

Luis: Natalia started playing Tiny Tower on her phone a couple of days ago and has become completely obsessed with it.
Natalia: I’m not obsessed!
Luis: Oh really? Then why are you playing that game as we speak?
Natalia: You can’t judge me. You’ve been playing that Monopoly game for weeks now, and it is pretty much the same thing.
Luis: But I don’t play it like you do.
Natalia: You did when you first started playing it.
Luis: Whatever.

Natalia: Okay.
Luis: (glancing over at Natalia’s phone) Oh, you’re playing Tiny Tower, now?
Natalia: Yeah. But I don’t get it.
Luis: Which reminds me… I need to get that new Simpsons iPhone game that came out today…
12 minutes later…
Luis: This game is WAY too complicated. Oh, you’re still playing Tiny Tower?
Natalia: Yeah. I STILL don’t get it.
Luis: Okay, okay, okay… what are we going to do for MARCHtinso?
Natalia: I don’t like these new bed sheets. It feels like I’m laying on sand paper.
Luis: Oh come on! They’re not that bad.
Natalia: Seriously, I scraped my knee.

Luis: We need to do something BIG to kick off MARCHtinso… after all, it IS Carolina’s birthday.
Natalia: We have to make her Birthday post so cool, and so epic, that it will blow everyone away!

Our 4th Valiversay

What is a valiversary? Valentines Day + Anniversary… Duh! Luis and I decided to combine our Valentines Day and 6-month anniversary celebrations and simply have one special day just for us :)
As always, Valiversary comes around 1 week before Valentine’s Day. February 6th to be exact. Which makes it nice because we can still go out to eat and do something fun without having to worry about any crowds. This year we hit one of Luis’ old hometown favorites: On the Boarder. Although we have an On the Boarder here in Las Vegas, we had never gone there before.
We had a special guest join us for dinner:

After dinner, Luis pulled an envelope out of his pocket with our special Valiversary activity. And we know you are all going to be jealous when we tell you what we did…. (drum roll, please)…. we went to try to find the Sister Wives!!! As you may remember from this post, we are a little obsessed with the Sister Wives (Natalia more so than Luis). So we went out to try to figure out where they live, found a park they visited on the show, and even swung on the very swings Meri, Kody, and Mariah swung on!
This was Graciela’s first time on a real swing. What a lucky girl!

Luis: Announcing the gender of our baby LIVE over the web was definitely a risky move. We could have just been talking to ourselves. Fortunately, we had about 15 people (not a whole lot, but still) tune in, making it an epically awesome undertaking. Hopefully we can do something like this again in the future!
