Only in Vegas

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas… and that includes the weird Vegas-only things featured in these blog posts.

bingo (as in the game not the song)

As I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, I have a couple of friends from law school (Ankitha and Cara) who just so happen to also be living/working out here in Las Vegas. We try to get together every month or so to catch up and go do something fun. So last night we went to Red Rock to play BINGO!

It was so much fun. For only $6.00, you get six game cards, play for an hour and get free drinks. Once the game got started, it was hard to stop and chat because the numbers are called somewhat quickly (as you can see by Ankitha’s hand).

I had to keep bugging Cara to explain the rules to me because she has played a few times before (which makes her a pro in my book) and each game is just a little different than the other. In the end, none of us won anything, but we enjoyed ourselves.

After bingo we were off to BJ’s for dinner. I wish our waiter would have told us we were getting happy hour prices because Ankitha and Cara each got their mini pizzas for $5, while I got stuck with my small for $14 (I got the small so I could bring the left overs home to Luis). Of course, that would be asking too much of the waiter who took 10 minutes to bring our drink orders, forgot to bring Ankitha her drink, messed up Cara’s pizza, and only brought me 1 refill on my water. Luckily we were enjoying ourselves and these were just minor inconveniences.

for the shoe obsessed

As I’ve mentioned before, Las Vegans have some interesting cars.

who does this belong to?

I’ve noticed that when it comes to cars, Las Vegas has everything from the extremely expensive exotic cars to the most hideous clunkers you could imagine. I recently came across this beauty:

I’m not sure who this car belongs to, but I’m thinking they are sports fans. I could be wrong, though.
