Just dance
April 21, 2011
Our neighbors (the Bindrups) were so impressed by what the Wii could do (thanks to our Rock Band party), they decided it would be a perfect Easter present for the entire family! So, last night, they invited Natalia & I over to help debut their system by playing Just Dance 2.

It’s a super fun game (and really gets your heart beating). I was sweating for like 20 minutes after I was done dancing!
What was that? You want to see me dance to “Hey Ya” by Outkast? … Well, okay… here’s a minute’s worth of entertaining dancing by yours truly!
Killer move
March 3, 2011
I’ve been back in to Words With Friends as of late (thanks Brent). I was playing this stranger timworst and the perfect move presented itself to me. I found it while waiting for timworst to make his move, HOPING that he wouldn’t take advantage of that hanging E from “laze.”
Well, here it is:

The word was “queerish” and came out to a total of 115 points (that includes TWO double-word score tiles, and the letter Q). It was indeed a lucky and epic move!
Timworst promptly congratulated me on the move, and respectfully resigned.
Sat-NERD-Day: The Brothers Mario
December 23, 2010
Sat-NERD-Day is a new Saturday-only feature I’m starting here, where I will feature some of the best & funniest the web has to offer as far as NERD things go (technology, video games & such). (Seeing as this Saturday is Christmas… my Sat-NERD-Day post is comin’ early!)
This week I just wanted to share this SWEET fake movie trailer for Super Mario, in the vein of Grand Theft Auto.
What I really liked about the trailer is how the plot actually works… incorporating Bowser, Peach, Yoshi, and Toad as real people in the real world. I think I would enjoy watching this movie.
Lost Labor Day Part 3 – Wet and Wild
December 8, 2010
Previously… Sean & Sarah, Daniel & Katey, and Spencer & Amy have traveled to Las Vegas for a Labor Day reunion… It’s Saturday morning, and everyone has just partook of a lovely breakfast.
Shortly after eating breakfast, we all did the only logical thing there is TO do– we went straight to the pool!! (Don’t tell our mothers) Being September already, the summer days were soon coming to a close, which meant no more pool fun. (FROWN)
Unfortunately… Daniel forgot to pack his swimsuit. So, we had to improvise using an extra pair of Spencer’s shorts. (As you can tell, we had to fasten them on somehow).
We made sure to have a li’l nerf football to toss around while frolicking in the pool:
Spencer got a little violent with the big pink ball we had. See the abuse I have to put up with!?
After a while, the babies had enough of the pool… Such Divas.
Not after long, we ALL had about enough of the pool (except for Amy, who stayed behind because a whole slew of teenage boys had crashed the scene, who by the way took our pink ball as if it were their own). During our post-pool chill out time, we all sat down for a super fun round of SMASH BROS.!!!
Sean has the Playing-and-Parenting™ technique down to an art!
TO BE CONTINUED.

Scott Pilgrim is my hero
August 24, 2010
A few Fridays ago, a little movie called Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was released to theaters. Before that particular Friday, I had heard little-to-nothing about the film, but had heard a few things about the graphic novel series upon which it was based in this article, which documents 25 of its biggest video game references (a very informative read by-the-way).

I read through the article but knew nothing of what the books were about. Then the movie comes out, and there are some raves about it on Facebook, so I decide to take a look at the trailer:
Instantly, I connect the article with the movie and think to myself… I HAVE to watch this movie! So, what do I do? That same Friday in which it was released, I look up the soonest showtime, and decide to go watch the movie by myself. And I tell you, there’s nothing like a morning movie to put some pep in your step!
Here’s an avatar I made using the Scott Pilgrim Avatar Creator:
Anyhow, the movie is absolute brilliance! The sounds! The colors! The effects! The characters! The fighting sequences! The music! It just all came together in this masterful fusion that is original, unique, and supremely entertaining. (Now you probably think I’m overselling it) …maybe I am. But I DID love this movie. What did you think?
